Webuyanycar needed to research how much time and money the nation spends on self-improvement each year. They were keen to explore potential ideas around the headline: ‘things can only get better, as latest research reveals over half of brits are on a quest to improve themselves’.
We researched the top 30 self-improvement goals that people set but never get around to doing. Travelling more, getting out of debt and writing a will were among the top examples. The study revealed that one in five did not succeed with their goals because they simply couldn’t motivate themselves enough with 20 percent soon falling back into old habits.
The story achieved an estimated 561,000 coverage views and had an online readership of 365 million. It landed print coverage in The Daily Star and also in a host of national digital news sites such as The Independent, The Sun and The Mirror.
