We tested beachgoers with an interactive game set up at Margate’s iconic Dreamland location, asking them to count the number of balls in a beach scene that turned blurry, to highlight what can go wrong if you forget crucial items on your staycation.

The video content captured the moment holiday-goers were left confused, reminding them of the importance of remembering essential items before setting off on holiday.

This comes after 28% of poor-sighted Brits say they struggle to enjoy their seaside holiday when they’ve forgotten their contact lenses or glasses. We also asked respondents to remember their favourite things about a ‘bucket & spade’ holiday, including eating fish and chips on the beach and Mr Whippy ice cream. In total, the campaign secured 119 pieces of media coverage and 421,000 views on social media.
