National representative research revealed that the roast dinner is a favourite meal of the week for 40% of us, whereas just over 15% now regularly make a version that is vegan-friendly or gluten free.<\/p>\n

We enlisted food historian Sean Charrington-Hollins to explain how the roast dinner has evolved over the years, to now include items including mac and cheese, plant-based meats and fish.<\/p>\n
