Twirlywoos needed a national campaign to promote their new Dancing Great Big Hoo toy.
As the Dancing Great Big Hoo toy dances and is also the Dad of the family, the 72Point team delivered the concept for the DadDancer2017 competition, which invited people to submit videos of their dad showing off his best dad-dancing moves.
The campaign was accompanied by a piece of news generation that revealed the age that the average British man becomes a “Dad Dancer” and revealed a charming list of Top 10 songs that never fail get dads showing off their moves. The campaign was supported by 72point’s digital and social outreach service, reaching an online readership of 291million and even inspiring a classic Will Ferrel moment on Good Morning America. Father of two James Hardwell was crowned Dad Dancer of the Year in December 2017, after being secretly caught on camera by wife Hannah.
